Spanish-speaking Countries Presentation
Your mission: Provide information about a Spanish-speaking country and encourage your classmates to visit your country.
In this webquest, students will become a travel writer and explore a Spanish-speaking country of their choosing. They will compile a travel guide for that country that will include various important geographical and cultural facts, as well as tourist attraction/areas of interest and travel tips. Possible countries: Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Uruguay.
You and your partner are travel writers and your next assignment is to create a travel guide book for a Spanish- speaking country. The two of you will virtually travel to your chosen country and compile information that would be useful to other travelers on vacation there. Let's visit a new and exciting country!

- A cover with the name of the country and a map showing its location.
- Pictures and descriptions of tourist activities with a short description in your own words.
- Country's Currency and the conversion rate to U.S. dollars.
- Include Four Tourist Attractions & Points of Interest
- **You must include a picture of each site. Where is it located? Why is it important? How much money does it cost, if any? Can you only go during certain times of the year? What can you do there? What will you eat there?

- Basic information: population, location and neighboring countries, flag, type of government, head of government
- A video with music. Search for your country on Virtual Tourist or type "travel" or "discover" + your country on YouTube. The second video should include popular music/dance from your country. (You will show 30 seconds or less of the video. Choose the most interesting part.)
- Food and cuisines including basic foods and popular recipes
- Popular music
- Basic Weather/Seasons: When should someone visit?
- Include Four Tourist Attractions & Points of Interest (each from a different category listed):
- Recreational (an exciting activity!)
- Historical (monuments, buildings, historical sites)
- Cultural (museums, celebrations, marketplaces)
- Natural (does your country have any natural wonders?)
- Religious (churches, cathedrals, temples)
- Entertainment
